EX-4S monitor upgrade

I have the Costco EX-4S with 10” screen. I would like to upgrade to a larger monitor but Echelon says it can’t be done.

if I purchase an android point of sale monitor, does anyone have detailed instructions to setup? Doesn’t the monitor need a signal? Or is the 10” tablet still required to feed the monitor?
