It surprises me that there are enough people good at games to make Fromsoft and ‘Soft-likes’ games such a popular genre.

Like, I know I suck. I just do not have the patience or the reflexes to play through Elden Ring even though I would like to. I take everyone’s word on how good it is.

I’ve tried Dark Souls and had a miserable time. I tried Sekiro to slightly more success but it simply wasn’t worth all of the time it was taking me to chip away through single enemies.

I played Fallen Order, initially on the standard difficulty but then I had to do it in baby mode because, well I like Star Wars.

And I always thought of myself as pretty typical? I’m under 30, I’ve played games since I was 7 or 8, I like a wide variety of games. So it does come as a surprise to me that souls like games do so well. I’m glad, don’t get me wrong. I do wish I could get in on Elden Ring though. Especially when I see people completing it on a dance mat or something crazy.
