Do you wear perfume to work?
I remember falling in love with many fragrances in my early 20s and it sort of dying by the wayside starting a full time career. I've worked where everybody had their own office, and where it's a bustling open plan floor and variations in between. In none of the cases was it comfortable to wear a fragrance to work. It was too forward and also felt like it could lead to too many potential issues, including if I'm the only woman in a conference room full of men. Perfumes became beautiful dressing table items and worn for special occasions - dinners.(never professional context), weddings and maybe on vacation but vacationing in summer meant being by the ocean, the smell of sunscreen (which I love), and preferring the natural scents of the location that I was in.
If you wear perfume to work, are you particularly conscious of keeping it discrete, personal?
If you don't, what are your occasions for perfume and how often would that happen?
