Analog vs Digital

TLDR: Looking to add digital FPV to my setup. Have Skyzone googles already, would love to still use them if possible (but if having a a solid system is better then I can give it up). Thoughts of DJI O3 vs Walksnail?

I fly 5 inch quads in a freestyle manner (close range) with a GoPro and analog video as well as fixed wings long range (think 5 miles). I would like to add digital. Should go with the Walksnail -- if so should I get the Avatar goggles or just get the video receiver module and plug in the HDMI into my current Skyzone sky04x? Or should I go with the DJI O3 Air Unit? Or something else?

Walksnail would allow me to use my current hardware if I go the HDMI route, but how is the latency? Is it worth it or should I go with a fully integrated system? Is the DJI worth the additional cost especially if adding more cameras in the future to other drones/planes?

Removing the GoPro would obviously be nice, but is not the end all be all. Thanks!
