Where to visit

Me and my friend are in our mid 30s. We already live in South Florida. We want to visit another area. I was thinking Sanibel island or Tampa. But not sure if Sanibel Island is fun right now post hurricane recovery. Also thinking Tampa maybe... Any recommendations on a cool spot for two women in their 30s.
