Thin + fine hair that always tangles when kept loose

Hi all,

When I leave my thin/fine hair loose/free it just always eventually becomes really tangled if I don't brush it throughout the day (mostly the back towards the middle and bottom area). It gets especially bad if I am wearing a scarf or a jacket, or even worse if there is wind.

The only solution I've found is to keep it tied.

Any tips to keep prevent the hair from tangling at all or to reduce tangling :( ?
