fcx18 LC80 stock charger light not working

I'm using the stock charger that came with the fcx18 LC80 and when I charge my battery the light is solid red for a couple seconds and then shuts off. Is it supposed to be like this? If yes, how am I supposed to know the charge state of my battery?

edit: it also seems that the green light doesn’t come on even after charging overnight.
