Finished UBW season 1, about to watch 2 but curious if i should play the VN instead

Ive always known it was an option, i was turned away by the fact its roughly 60 hours and that i didnt think I would like fate. Turns out I do like it though so now im not sure. I read a lot but VNs have never quite been my jam, do you think its better to read it?
