Does islam believe sorcery?

I have seen enough muslims being dead afraid of getting cursed by magicians etc (hell there is that one guy who claims he can do it but does want to do it because its haram 😭)

So, does islam believe it or not? Its already a religion which popped up around 1400 years ago so it must mean they thought that magic and sorcery is real.
