The lack of mutual respect is baffling.

This is so silly, but. Yes, I remember my brother wanting to enter my room, I told him no. He kept saaying he's gonna enter. Then he went on to try lecturing me into me getting my tone louder and louder. But I stopped him and said : "No, you keep invading my personal space. Despite my refusal." he said "But you do this often" I replied "And ? Not the point, you enter my room while I refused. I do not do this to you, you say no, I leave you alone. That's mutual respect that you lack towards me ." then he said "Ok." and left my room.

This is a behavior I've noticed on multiple muslim men. Invalidation to your feels as a woman but self righteous. This type of behavior baffles me.
