2x EVs in One Garage Dilemma

UPDATE: Thanks so much for the thoughtful responses of those who opted to give helpful advice instead of the typical reddit flippancy. I just put in an order for the Grizzl-E Duo. It sounds like the fears I had from reading the wiki on r/evcharging were based on a discontinued product that had problems that they’ve since fixed. This seems like the best compromise between our charging needs and overall cost of our setup.

Original Post: Hey r/EVcharging! I’m looking for advice on charging multiple EVs at home, and the sub’s wiki on that seems to be down.

My husband and I both have EVs (me: Polestar 2, him: F-150 Lightning) and just moved into a house that hasn’t been set up for EVs yet. At our old house we had a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed and the Ford wall box that came with his lightning hardwired in the driveway. However, we had an electrician tell us that the detached garage at our current house can’t handle more than one EV hookup, so our old setup won’t work here.

My husband found the Grizzl-e Duo charger as a possible solution, but after reading some of the posts on here I’m now hesitant about going with that product. I’d be really sad if our garage caught fire.

Buying two Emporia chargers seems like a possible solution if we set a lower amperage on them, but since the J1772 cable is hardwired to them, it seems like a waste to have to buy all new wall units in 5-10 years when all new EVs will be NACS.

That brings me to the next possible elegant solution, which would be ChargePoint, but at $550 each, that seems like a reeeeally steep price that I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on this as THE solution for us.

We’d really appreciate any ideas, advice, or help. Thanks everybody!

EDIT: It’s not uncommon for us to have to charge on the same night. I work multiple jobs, one of which has a long commute, and my husband runs his own business, so it’s not uncommon for both of us to drive over 100 mi in a single day for multiple days in a row.
