If you respond off-duty and the responding team arrives, are you going to work in tandem with them or do you relinquish working on the patient?

My dad and I had a thinker.

If I did CPR on a person and was working on them as EMS arrives, identifying myself as an EMT/Paramedic/what have you, you obviously trade off the pt but would there ever be a situation (like severe trauma) where you’re working in tandem with the first responders for some reason?

Have you responded off duty and worked a pt until they arrive and then just go back to whatever you were doing or suddenly work in tandem with them to try to get the pt to not die/stay alive?
