Big boobs can indeed save lives

Multiple GSW to the chest through the G sized left breast of a damn near 400 lb pt, probably could have driven to the ED and been fine. Pt was rather young so had that going for them and sure that helped. Had pain because yah you just got blasted but I was shocked.

Initially on scene and PD reports a through and through on the left breast, okay, cool. Get in the back and get trauma naked, lift the breast up, and our faces just dropped as we counted another two holes. Like, oh….. fuck us that’s not a through and through!

So yeah, just wanted to share that funny tid bit from my shift. Anyone else ever seen some extra cushion come in handy like that?
