Do the DLCs ever go on discount?
Hey- I’ve heard of the game a while ago from some friends, but at the time, I was in highschool, and didn’t really feel like paying most my paycheck for a game and DLCs that, together, cost more than the game itself. Not to mention, my laptop was pretty bad, and I’d rather buy Baldur’s Gate 3, and have a bunch of hours on it instead in one purchase- or play a FTP game, and, MAYBE buy 1 or 2 cosmetics, or large expansions on discount(specifically Destiny 2) However, I’ve noticed that discounts, at least on steam, pop up fairly often compared to what I thought.
The killers, at the very least, do look fun to play (but I don’t think Survivor gameplay would be fun for me from what I’ve seen- the skill check system and how often you sit around is a bit much for me), but looking at the DLC prices… well. I don’t think it’s worth it at full price, especially starting out having to pay that much, similar to how I found that Destiny 2 was only worth paying for when stuff had large discounts and the DLC was like, 5 dollars or otherwise very low. I don’t have a main in mind yet, since I still haven’t actually, well- played the game- which is probably another part of the problem for me paying for everything at full price?
Admittedly, I do know that some of the 39(?) DLC are survivor specific DLC- like the Alan Wake DLC- so I’m aware that I don’t have to buy EVERY DLC, but I imagine most of them have some killer stuff in the DLC, or specifically killers like the Ghost Face DLC.
I checked steam today, and they’re not CURRENTLY on discount- but if they do go on discount, I’ll check every once in a while and see if it is, as it’s a bit too steep for me. All together, it’s 307.70. Even if I bought a quarter of the DLC (by price)+the game it’s more than most games on the market that you buy once, and probably most games in general. Not as expensive as Scarlet and Violet+DLC, which, I didn’t buy, but still. That’s pretty daunting ngl- which is why I pose this question.
