[No Spoilers] Why is there always someone obsessed with keyleth?

I got in to critical role via the legend of vox machina show, and i loved it so much that i decided to finally check out critical role hype and watch the campaign. As someone with 0 dnd experience im loving it, but theres always been something i've never quite understood. There always seems to be a character that is obsessed with Keyleth and her safety for some reason, Vax i understand but with Tiberius and Kerrek i've never understood why they felt so strongly that they had to protect Keykey. Im on episode 83 and its entirely possible that i missed an explanation for why Kerrek and Tibs were so concerned with her, but so far it just seems weird that they feel the need to look out for her more than anyone else in the group. No hate to CR obviously because i am loving the show and can't wait to start the Mighty Nein campaign, its just something i noticed.
