How do you feel about dry-boxing cigars?

Good evening ladies and gentlemen! I am curious to find out how you guys feel about dry boxing a cigar before enjoying it. Do you never rest your cigar overnight? Do you sometimes or never?

I’ve heard it can help improve the cigar if it’s over humidified. Today I smoked a cigar, a Nica Rustica by Drew Estates. I felt like the cigar was a bit “wet”, as in it burnt very unevenly, flavors were muted, the cigar felt really soft to the touch.
