Man, sometimes i feel like stockfish is taking the piss out of me. In so many ways. Why does fishy want me to go bd6 to protect the knight?

Wouldn't my opponent just get a piece for free after taking my knight with his bishop, since the opponents queen is right there? Can someone explain fishys line? (I won that game btw)
