How should i, as a german, pronounce "Richter" Belmont?

As a german, i'm familiar with the pronounciation of the german term and name "Richter". But in german localizations of the games and the anime, the name is pronounced "Rikkter" (ˈrɪk.tɚ) so, is that the correct one? I know that in the japanese version, it is written in typical katakana リヒター・ベルモンド , suggesting the pronounciation as (Rihitā Berumondo).
