Experience leaving golden handcuffs?

Just made the decision to leave my job which I was on a very lucrative non qualified stock option plan. I’m leaving roughly $200K of unvested stocks on the table, which would have grown even further as we are awarded more stocks every year. I’m leaving for a job with a much shorter commute (10 mins vs +40 mins) and every other Friday off (work 9/80 schedule). I will still be financially stable in this new job, but I’ve been thinking about what I could be if I stayed and kept those stock options. Anyone have experience leaving a higher paying job for better balance, and if they are happy with their decision or if they have regrets?
