need a pc thats preferably under 1000

New build or upgrade?
New build

Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
I currently have a prebuilt PowerSpec G225 from a microcenter from 5 years ago which cost around 700, cannot find any links for it, and a AOC C24G1 curved monitor which i believe is this one , i already have a mouse and a very good keyboard so these are not problems

PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games) Gaming and general use, games like fortnite, overwatch, marvel rivals, cod, really any games that come out, mostly competitive

Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors) Live in the US, live around 10 minutes away from a microcenter

Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
Unsure, not entirely sure on if the monitor above is considered "good enough" but most likely reuse if its not necessary, if possible a recommendation of a 240hz around the same size as the one linked, im used to curved due to using the monitor for 5 years but im sure it will be fine uncurved.

Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
Preferably under 1000, i say preferably due to not knowing exact prices of whats currently good and trying to not spend immense amounts but i spend practically all of my free time on the pc so i need it to be good "enough" for current standards

WiFi or wired connection? I currently use both due to the fact my ethernet cuts out too often

Size/noise constraints? N/A

Color/lighting preferences? N/A

Any other specific needs? I use Windows. Looking for more storage the one i have is 500 gb, and more ram the one i have is 16gb. With the prebuilt i currently have ive only experienced nvidia and have come to prefer it, ive seen things that are bad about amd at times but also heard its cheaper and relatively the same so im not entirely sure, also preferably not liquid cooling because ive heard its not recommended at all

other info: with this pc ive been able to hit fps like 144 consistently through a lot of optimizations (and lowest settings on every game) but i think its come to the point where its falling behind, i keep my pc on the carpet under my desk due to limited space but i will most likely move to a stand

i was thinking of getting another prebuilt (CyberPowerPC Model: SLC9000BST)
but as stated ive heard some bad things about liquid cooling which i believe it has and of course prebuilts in general

i dont really know anything about building a new pc and im just assuming upgrading this prebuilt is not going to be ideal in the slightest and ive also heard building a pc is fairly "easy" but not "idiot-proof"

sorry if this is a lot of text or if i left out any vital info trying to get this post to be as informational as i can with my knowledge, putting a lot of trust into the info given but ill also be doing some of my own research, thank you
