Components to Improve Performance

Hi, I have a 2.5 year old pc with i5 9400f and a GTX 1060 6 GB along with 16gb ram. My pc has gotten fairly slow and after all cleaning and performance boosting tips I've decided to upgrade few components starting with the SSD. Can you guys help me and let me know what all components I should upgrade and which ones will give me the most performance boost. I mainly do Gaming(Valorant) and Video Editing(After Effects) and realised that both of them are CPU intensive. Due to this I was going to get the Ryzen 5 5600X. Please let me know if it's a good upgrade or if I should upgrade some other component
