My newborn is a genius

I know everyone thinks this about their kid, but in my anxious, sleep-deprived state, having read numerous posts about coping with over-supply and reflux and strong letdown and engorgement... my baby figured out something really clever while side-lying. If strong boob is leaking profusely, all he has to do is leave his mouth slightly open and let it roll down his face. No need to latch or figure out a sucking pattern. Just let gravity do its thing, swallow what you want, ignore the rest. Multiple problems solved instantly by an 11-day-old. And the little dork smiled the entire time.
