Night weaning

HELP. I night weaned my 16 month old a month ago and there are still nights she will cry for the boob for an hour. Other nights she wakes up multiple times, asks and then settles relatively quickly.

We are getting worse sleep and dealing with more and much much longer wake ups.

When does this get better? What should we do?
