Low supply, losing hope

New mom here, 13 days PP. So far I’ve been struggling with my milk production. I feed my baby with formula via tube assist (every 3 ish hours) taped to my breast so that she feeds at the nipple each time. I alternate breasts each feed, and then pump both breasts for 15 minutes after each feed. I’m using the Bellababy hands free electric pump. My partner does one feed for me in the middle of the night, and I still wake up just to pump at that time.

So far the most milk I’ve been able to get from pumping is 5ml (from both sides combined). Sometimes I get less, or nothing.

I’ve started taking iron supplements and as of today have added oatmeal with brewer’s yeast and ground flax. I got Gatorade but could be drinking more water. Thinking of trying fenugreek and blessed thistle.

It’s super frustrating and disheartening. I’m worried I’ll never get more milk than this. My sister also had a hard time nursing and tried everything for 2 months until it almost broke her. I’m scared I’m on the same road. Wondering if age is a factor (I’m 40).

I know there’s a chance it won’t happen for me, and if that’s the case, I’ll accept it. Looking for any advice or hopeful stories of milk coming in later.
