Why don't some people like jesse?

he gets mixed up in the wrong people, but he is a morally good person. being an addict doesn't equal being unlikable or a bad person. especially s1-s3 jesse before he was totally traumatized. I started watching JUST for jesse, and he is by far my favorite character. he's clever, witty, relatable... if you disagree, why?
