How do I make flossing easier?

3rd day, Ive never been very dexterous and so it's very difficult for me to thread the floss between and actually floss my teeth. It takes me 30 minutes to do just the first few front teeth because I just can not reach any other teeth nor get the floss in position and even when I could I'd find myself just struggling and yanking the floss on the wire. I was considering a water flosser but I've read they aren't as good as actual flossing so I don't know if it's worth the $30-$40 my ortho did say it was highly recommended though so I don't know.
