Screaming in the car

I’m at my wits end. My baby is 3.5 months and it has been 3.5 months of screaming until she is red in the face every time she goes in the car.

I have tried everything. Giving her a bottle before we go, not giving her one, doing it when she’s due for a nap, when she’s just woken up from a nap, wrapped a blanket tight over her once she’s strapped in, toys, mirrors, even taped a picture of me to the rear mirror. Nothing helps.

I don’t go anywhere anymore unless I absolutely have to because I cannot stand being in the car with her screaming like this. I’ve turned down social events, don’t see my friends. I’m depressed. I’m so alone.

When does this get better? When does it stop? What else can I try so I can have my life back.
