I’m That Girl/Move x Christine

The Christine theory—Beyoncé referencing the iconic movie through her NFL Christmas Halftime teasers—got me thinking about I’m That Girl and Move specifically.

Both songs are very much tied to the car imagery, with I’m That Girl license plate in the Anointed interlude and Move in merch and Protector lyric video.

Christine is about a car attacking and even taking the lives of a multitude of people. In both I’m That Girl and Move, you can hear “Help. Let me out of there” in the background distorted. For example, in the I’m That Girl outro. Is the car in these songs also trying to kill people?
