Why is Jill so attached to MC?

I noticed throughout the game that even on other paths and showing no interest in Jill she still wants MC and acts weird around him or makes faces when she finds out you’re dating other people. I’ve played her path the most out of all the other paths but I can’t figure out why she’s so into MC. Is it because MC is different from the preps? Is it because MC kind of reminds Jill of Lana? Does anyone know what the reason could be or have any theories??
