Could it be profitable to open these 89 fleer boxes for ff bats and marlboro errors (1989 fleer bought very early)

My pops ran many pharmacies in his hey days and bought these 2 cases way back and has saved them ever since. He doesn't want to open them and go through them and would rather sell them whole but I'm just curious if it could pay itself many times over since each box is only worth $1500 at most
