Flooding at Gilmore, is it that bad?

Hi guys, I’m thinking of renting a 2B2B place at Gilmore station but I’ve seen some concerning news about flooding around this area.

I work in downtown so I’ll be taking the train.

But I’d like to know how long does the flooding last? How long does it take for them to get rid of the flooding and get back to normal? Is it that serious for people who don’t drive? How about the tall buildings in this area? How did Starbucks even survive? Do buses stop working as well?
