Advice? Getting $ back from business that closed

Maybe a long shot but I have like $1000+ in credit at Mint Laser Clinic on Bloor St and when I arrived at my appt today they seem to have closed permanently. A month or so ago they said they were closing for renovations and now no website, IG or phone work. They had crazy deals a few months ago and had a great experience but now I'm feeling like it was a last minute cash grab..

Has anyone has any luck getting $ back from a business that seems to have disappeared. Does this count as a fraudulent credit card transaction?
