Is 6.12 LTS worth ?

Yes, you can downvote me to hell, I grant you permission.

A while ago, the Linux Kernel released version 6.12, which was marked as LTS. However, Arch Linux's LTS kernel is still 6.6.x. I assume this will change once 6.13 is released, at which point 6.12 will become the LTS kernel in the core repository, is this the case? This is my first question. I've been using the LTS kernel for a while, and it has been a 'works perfectly' experience. However, the 6.12 kernel seems to bring many features, including real-time support. My knowledge doesn't explain whether this new version of the kernel will offer a performance boost that is noticeably better out of the box, excluding optimizations made along the path from 6.6 to 6.12.

I will probably update to this new LTS kernel, will I notice the upgrade? Can you suggest a way of benchmarking it(Only if its reasonable)? Doing some test before and after the upgrade.

I'm just curious how this kernel 6.12 was announced and mentioned on forums these days
