Worsened Intubation confidence & skills

I am a PGY1 of Anaesthesia 6months into 1st year. Previously I had good confidence & skills in Larygoscopy & intubation. But as of late, for my past 5 trials I have been facing failed intubation multiple times due to lack of proper visualization. This has put down my confidence very much. Even now I had attended a code blue in the ER & failed to intubate for which my senior took over & intubated, following which he exclaimed it was an easy intubation... What am I doing wrong? What do I do now?
