Why us Algerian care about school more than anything?

Since i was young i see that parents always give studying more important than anything else for example now i was outside walking it was raining and i see a primary school girl with a broken leg barely moving with her mother to go to school like why is studying is more important than caring about your own kid safety and his health and that's just one example of many many others i know studying is important but sometimes especially for kids rest is also important So why studying is always more important than anything else even though we know it can't be rewarding from what we are seeing daily
