Aldi Brisket

Decides to mess around and use a slow cooker for this brisket. It's -2 degrees outside and I don't want to mess with the smoker. I loosely used a cooking method I found online.

Started by putting a cup of bbq sauce in the slow cooker with a half cup water. Seasoned the brisket a little more before putting it in. Cooked it for 8 hours on low and reached a 201 temp. Took the brisket out, drained the juices into a sauce pan and caramelized the juices on the stove and drizzled it over the brisket. I then put the brisket in a foil boat in to the oven at 450 degrees for 20 mins. Took it out after and let rest for an hour.

All in all it came out tasting pretty good. The more narrow part was kinda dry but the rest was decent. I kind of expected it anyway being it's a flat.

I still prefer smoking much more than slow cooker and probably won't try this again.
