Resolution issues

Have just picked up a new Samsung odoyssey ultrawide g8 monitor. I have connected my Xbox series s and i only getting 1440p, i want 4k. Yes i have a ultra high speed hdmi cable, yes i connected to my micro hdmi and yes i have tried everything but it Will not work. Any sugestion annyboddy?
