What would benefit if the case went to trial?
If the case went to trial it would answer a lot of questions we have as the general public but what positive things would come out of it? What would CW defense actually fight for? Assuming CW stuck with SW killed kids and he just dumped the bodies. I don t know the exact line that CWs defense would take but i imagine part of his defense is to attack SW for being a jealous/awful mother who couldnt let the kids while he was a loving father. The coutner being CW murdered SW and threw his kids in oil tanks just like a loving father would do...
The Roos still lose their grandkids and daughter. They prob also get shitty family drama issues brought up.
The Watts might get a little less criticism but still also lose their grandkids and son to prison for life and still have the same family drama issues the Roos have
DA/Investigtors prob dont have as much criticism and conspiracy theories around them. Although thats assuming the case ends up the same way with CW being in jail for murdering all 3 etc..
I think the biggest benefactor is prob NK for getting officially cleared.
Public - we get more info than we have now but while it would be nice to have i think it does mroe damage than good if the families were forced to go through the trial and have to relive the details of the crime or get their families smeared even more.
I think the case isnt as complicated as it seems and the trial would absolutely help clear up some of that.
