Do you view mixed celebrities as representation?

There’s a lot of mixed South Asian celebrities but the desi community doesn’t really “claim them” except maybe Zayn? Asking bc I recently found out Charli XCX and Avan Jogia are half Indian despite knowing who they are for a long time. Personally I dislike when they cast mixed South Asians in roles meant for full woc like Naomi Scott in Aladdin live action.
