Caliburn G3 cartridge issue.

I have 2x caliburn G3s and am using the cartridge coils that come with it. 1 I've had has been flawless and is still going but 2 new ones that have worked up until today but have since stopped working. I've tried them between two different devices but still nothing. Is there some sort of trick to them? Or are they just dodgy?
