Did anyone else think Ariana didn’t really GAF about defending Katie in S10?

in regards to rachel kissing tom schwartz and pursuing something. Ariana seemed mostly against it only in confessionals, and didn’t try to stick up for katie at all in any other instances. i remember after the mexico kiss and all the girls minus katie are in the spa and she sort of looks at rachel judging but also laughing a little that she kissed tom.

she also barely seemed bothered to defend katie at the pool party and could care less, she moreso cared to defend rachel actually. (i guess this is what made the scandal way more scandalous)

anyone else find this interesting? she never seemed to have great friendship with katie until after the scandal. i’m happy for them that they’re cool now and of course people grow and change, but i feel like katie was always thrown under the bus even by the girls on the show.
