Military pathway to citizenship

Hello all, I just got my conditional green card! Huge blessing from God. However, my wife and I were thinking about me joining the Military, as a reserve. If my research isn’t wrong, it will allow me to become a US citizen within one year? If someone has any experience on this topic, I would love the extra information+advice!

Additionally, one of the main reasons we intent to take this approach is due to my parents not having legal status and I am more than willing to join the military to petition them! Also one of my dreams is to join the Air Force, as a kid I always wanted to be a pilot! As they grow older and would love to travel the world with them and my wife.
