Should I use my gaming laptop to offload streaming load?
So I have a pretty good gaming PC, (RTX 3080/Ryzen 7 3700x/32GB RAM) but even with all that, OBS still uses about 30% of my CPU when streaming. This actually prevents me from being able to stream certain games at 1080/30 fps that use a lot of CPU. I have a PCIE 4K60 Pro capture card and a pretty good gaming laptop (RTX 2070/i7 10th gen/16GB RAM) would it be feasible to use my gaming laptop to do the encoding and get me my 30% of CPU back?
If it would involve a lot of setup every time I want to stream and be unreliable I definitely don't want to bother but has anyone done this and have good experiences with it? Thanks for any help
