Containers

Hey, I just started working for a 1099 company hauling containers two months ago. I'm having trouble understanding drayage pay with my company. With the way they do things if you pick up your own box, and drop off your own box, the company pays you. But, if someone else picks up your box and/or drops off your box, you pay that driver with your own money, or rather it gets deducted from my paycheck.

Is it normal to do things this way in this industry?
