Staying in Taito City?

Hi! I'll be staying in Tokyo for 7 days and booked my hotel in Taito city, south of Asakusa. I thought Shinjuku, Shibuya would be too touristy and crowded so I wanted a place more chill and safe but still close to center.

BUT now I am kinda regretting and wanted to hear your opinion.

After securing the plane tickets and accommodation now I started to look where to eat, what to see etc. and soon I realised all the restaurants, shops I saved started to accumulate in Shinjuku, Shibuya area. I am worried to spend too much time on transportation.

Do you think staying near Asakusa is a mistake? Should I change my hotel to near Shinjuku? or is it completely doable?
