Glass Cannon Build Questions/Thoughts

So I have been playing the game for almost 2 years now and I can farm T10 to about 8k and T11 to about 6.5k making about 15T a run and can make it to about wave 170 in legends league so everyone has a idea of where I stand.

My question about glass cannon comes in when does it truly start to be the better build? I ask because from what I am seeing when farm T10 and T11 my damage is so far off from what I can do with a health setup and the 50/50 Dmg perk. Then when it comes to Tournaments its I see damage being a lot more beneficial just due to the attack scaling so fast.

So I am thinking Glass Cannon is not a great farming build until you are on like Tier 15 or so? I only ask because I read so many posts in this sub about people and their glass cannon builds and assuming most people are doing it much earlier so just wondering if I am missing something.
