What's wrong with this Community?
Alright so this is gonna piss off a lot of people but you shouldn't take this personally. This is my opinion about the state of this community and the state of the gaming community in general. And I can completely shit on it as I've been a gamer my whole life.
I've come to the realisation that the further we go in time, the more we are completely mysoginistic brats self indcucted experts on acting, directing and casting. I mean come on, the amount of shit I read daily on the HBO show about Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal, Neil Druckmann, Abby's character, TLOU 2 and a bunch of other gaming communities like Ghost of Yotei, Intergalactic and so on, it has blown completely out of proportion.
I'm an actor, musician, theatre director and a very passionate gamer for over 20 years. Everything that I read here and on other gaming communities is just completely unfair. Seriously. People judge acting, judge storylines and writing and even camera work and lighting super harshly withou knowledge about it.
TLOU is one of the best game series ever made and the HBO series is one of the best adaptations from a game to tv that I've ever seen. Of course not everything is on point, but to shit on everything as people do daily is just wrong.
This hiper criticism and judgemental culture needs to stop or we will destroy what we built. Especially with Sony and Naughty Dog. They've delivered time and time again. And keep on doing it. TLOU2 is a masterpiece and all of you know it deep down.
EDIT: I think the biggest problem is with the egocentric feeling that the games are made for us. The games and the shows and everything is not for us. It's a work of art, it's gonna have ups and downs so we should accept it and stop crying about it the way we do it.
