Q&A Pet Peeve

Maybe I’ve just become a grump, but does anyone else get annoyed when someone speaks up on a Q&A and doesn’t ask a question, but instead gives their review and/or analysis? It’s so fucking awkward watching directors have their work explained to them and so fucking selfish to make a whole ass crowd listen to your bullshit opinions instead of the person who made the film.

In my mind let’s make it okay for cast and crew to just cut them off or give them a ‘is there a question coming or should we move on?’ It’s a Q&A, not a U&T (‘unsolicited opinion’ & ‘talent looking uncomfortable’)

Btw this also goes for some of the TIFF Moderators (specifically looking at you Norm Wilner)
