Help!

My foster kid is in the 8th grade and I want to get her a new laptop before high school. She’s been using my old POS this year and it’s been ROOOOUUUGH. Needs a camera for school and hopefully some extra space for The Sims, which she loves.

I’m a paramedic, so funds are laughably limited, but willing to spend on something that will get her through to college🤞🏼

EDIT: I didn’t realize there was a form, sorry! Buying in the US, hoping to stay around $800 but willing to stretch for the right unit, not sure if refurbished is ok - is refurbished ok? Not concerned with thinness/size - just that it can sustain a teenage girl. Thank you!
