Mac mods

I just got a new Mac as my old laptop broke I’m wanting to get my old mods before loading up the saves I been playing on my old laptop but I’m just confused as to how to mod on Mac at first in was opening but the mods weren’t working but now it’s just not opening the game at all or telling me to delete the mod folder help anyone
